Upon the passage of Conto Energia IV in early May 2011 in Italy, this sunny southern state has proved its willingness to strengthen its leading position on the world photovoltaic market.

Rather generous feed-in-tariffs set for PV installations together with abundant sunlight and significant experience in construction of solar projects define a lucrative market, into which Photon Energy has expanded its business activities.

Photon Energy Italia s.r.l. is seated in Milan, while working hard on selecting and evaluating the best business opportunities on the entire Apennine Peninsula.


  • On 30 November rooftop installation (261 kWp) in Verderio Inferiore, province of Lecca, was successfully completed and connected to the grid, securing a feed in premium of EUR 0.265/kWh, some 0.02 EUR higher than the December tariff, on top of the electricity sales revenues of EUR 0.1034/kWh. 

Given the estimated annual production at 315 000 kWh, it is expected to annually generate over 116,000 EUR in revenues.

  • Currently another rooftop project in Biella province (1MWp) is in the pipeline
