Company’s history

Prior to year 2009

• 2006/2007 - Michael Gärtner, former CEO co-develops one of the first industry-scale solar power plants in the Czech Republic,
• Jan 2008 - four co-founders including Georg Hotar and Michael Gartner established Photon Energy a.s.
• Sep 2008 - capital rising of CZK 15 million (EUR 0.6 million) in the private placement
• Oct 2008 - listing on NewConnect, alternative system of trading run by the Warsaw Stock Exchange; the first non-Polish company listed.

2009:

• Jul-Dec 2009 – installation and commissioning of 2.7 MWp PV capacities for the third parties and 0.795 MWp for the proprietary portfolio

2010:

• Jul-Dec 2010 - installation and commissioning of 13.3 MWp PV capacities for third parties and 18.3 MWp for the proprietary portfolio
• 12/2010 - restructuring of the Group; establishment of subsidiaries in Netherlands and transfer of control to Photon Energy N.V.

2011:

• 06/2011 – installation and commissioning of 6.8 MWp (pro-rata 5.4 MWp) in Slovakia for the proprietary portfolio and 2.0 MWp for third parties;
• 07/2011 – starting preparations for the exchange offer to be directed to the minority shareholders of Photon Energy a.s.
• 11/2011 - installation and commissioning of the first PV power plant in Italy with the total installed capacity of 0.26 MWp for the proprietary portfolio.
